New Market, June 8 - Miss Eltha Bell Whitaker, popular young woman of this place died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Elsa Whitaker at 2:30 o'clock Sunday morning from tuberculosis. She had been ill since last March. The deceased was born Aug 5, 1906 at Veedersburg the daughter of William and Elsa Ingersoll Whitaker. Her father, William Whitaker was killed in a crossing accident while driving a school hack last fall. She is survived by her mother, one brother, Delmar and two sisters, Crystal and Pauline. She was a member of the Philathea Class of the Baptist Sunday School. Funeral services will be from the New Market Baptist Church at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. CL Airhart will have charge of the services. Interment will be made at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
